At the Mason Foundation, volunteers are the driving force behind everything we achieve. From leading inclusive community walks to mentoring neurodivergent young people into meaningful employment, their dedication sparks lasting, positive change.
As we celebrate National Volunteers’ Week 2025, we are excited to launch our 2024 Annual Report, honouring the incredible Champions, Mentors, and Ambassadors who made last year our most impactful yet.
In 2024 alone, we reached over 22,000 young people, trained 115 mentors, and delivered transformative projects across the UK – each success rooted in the passion and commitment of our volunteers.
Changing lives
Anna Skeats, CEO of the Mason Foundation, shares: “Volunteers don’t just give their time—they change lives. Our Ambassadors, Champions, and Mentors form the backbone of our work. Their dedication to mentoring young people, leading community activities, and supporting families creates meaningful, lasting impact every single day.”
The difference is clear: in 2024, 83% of Community Mile participants reported increased physical activity, 70% saw improvements in physical health, 87% experienced better emotional wellbeing, and 73% felt a stronger connection to their community—powerful evidence of the transformative impact volunteering has on people’s lives.
Anna adds: “Our volunteers’ passion is matched only by the unwavering support of our funders. Together—with schools, charities, housing associations, and corporate partners—this collaboration fuels every project and drives real change in communities nationwide.”
