Supporting Young People Through Workplace Opportunities
We are thrilled to announce that The Mason Foundation has been awarded a £20,000 grant from the Peter Harrison Foundation to support the Propel Buckinghamshire! programme. This funding will provide vital workplace opportunities for young adults with learning disabilities and neurodivergence, equipping them with the skills and experiences needed for future success.
The Impact of Propel Buckinghamshire!
With this grant, The Mason Foundation aims to:
- Work across 8 educational settings, supporting 120 young people.
- Train 16 educational mentors (teachers, youth workers, and support staff).
- Develop 16 workplace mentors to guide participants in real-world experiences.
- Deliver CPD-accredited Propel training, including a full-day workshop and 12 months of implementation support.
- Facilitate work placements, site visits, vocational mentoring, and volunteering opportunities.
A Commitment to Long-Term Change
Propel Buckinghamshire! will officially launch on 1st January 2025, with delivery running through 31st December 2025. By empowering young people and their mentors with the right tools, guidance, and opportunities, this initiative ensures sustainable growth in workplace accessibility and inclusivity.
Celebrating the Partnership
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Peter Harrison Foundation for their generous support. Their commitment to fostering opportunities for young people aligns perfectly with our mission of breaking down barriers and promoting equal access to meaningful employment.
