At The Mason Foundation, people are at the heart of everything we do. From the communities we support to the programmes we deliver, it’s the people behind the scenes who make it all happen. That’s why this week, during Trustees’ Week (3–7 November 2025), we’re taking a moment to say thank you to the people who help guide our work and keep us moving forward – our trustees.
We’re delighted to welcome four new trustees to our Board. Each of them brings their own experiences, ideas and passion for making a difference. Together, they’ll help us grow our impact through our Community Mile and Propel programmes, and make sure we stay true to our mission of helping everyone to do Their Mile, Their Way.
Meet our new Trustees

Neil Campbell
Neil started out in web design during the dot com boom and went on to build and sell a successful hosting business. He later co-founded a venture capital firm focused on tech start-ups and now works for Cisco International. Neil is also a dad to three neurodivergent children, which gives him a real understanding of the challenges and barriers that young people can face. He’s joining The Mason Foundation because he wants to help create more opportunities for everyone, no matter their background or ability.
Anna Norman
Anna is a Clinical Psychologist who works with children, young people, families and neurodiverse communities. She brings compassion, curiosity and a strong belief in inclusion to everything she does. As someone with ADHD, Anna knows first-hand how important it is to create systems that understand and celebrate difference. She’s passionate about improving access, inclusion and wellbeing for all.
James Eaton
James has worked in technology for more than 20 years and is currently Chief Technology Officer at M&G. He’s built and led large teams, delivered complex transformation programmes, and is a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion in the workplace. James brings a wealth of experience in strategy, leadership and innovation to our Board.
Derek Roberts
Derek joins us with a background in accountancy within commerce. His financial experience will help strengthen our governance and make sure the Foundation continues to grow in a sustainable way.
A strong team for the future
Neil, Anna, James and Derek join our existing trustees Stephen Mason, Jackie Sumner, Sophie Mason and Martin Ebdell. Together, they bring decades of experience across business, education, community development, wellbeing and finance. More importantly, they share a belief that everyone should have the chance to be active, to belong and to reach their potential.
Trustees play a huge part in what makes The Mason Foundation tick. They give their time and energy freely, offering challenge, guidance and support to help us stay focused on what matters most – people.
We’re so pleased to have Neil, Anna, James and Derek on board and we can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve together.
